There's no substitute for real-world experience when it comes to gaining the confidence you will need on the job. In most programs at Branford Hall, when you are finished with your courses, you will get the chance to use your new skills in a professional setting by completing an externship or internship, depending on your program.
For example, you might have the opportunity to work in a legal office, business office, or medical setting. Qualified staff will supervise your work and offer guidance along the way. Along with a sense of achievement, you will have actual real-world experience you can list on your resume. You will also have the opportunity to make connections with other people who work in your new career field.
There’s no doubt about it. Hands-on experience makes a difference. Take it from Deanna Stuckey, one of the graduates of our medical assistant program. She recalls, “After completing my program, I was offered a position at the office where I served my externship, OBGYN of Manchester. The externship experience has given me more confidence and I am very proud of my profession.”
