Getting Certified in Your New Field
The courses in the Computer Networking and Security program are not certification courses. However, we do recommend to students that they sit for certification exams offered by outside organizations. Our Career Services department can help steer you in the right direction in terms of which certification exams you might want to pursue as you near graduation.
You do not need to be certified in order to find a job in the field of computer networking and security. However, having a certification may help you in your job search. Being certified helps to show potential employers that you are serious about your career, and may help you find better job opportunities and offer greater job security.
