Apply Your New Skills at our Technical Training Centers
The Technical Training Centers at Branford Hall provide a hands-on experience for you as you learn the skills needed to excel in the field of HVAC/R. The centers are outfitted with the equipment, tools, and technologies that are currently being used in the industry. You will have the opportunity to apply your new skills in this setting. Led by instructors with experience in the HVAC/R industry, you will gain valuable real-world training before you join the workforce.
HVAC/R and Certification
At Branford Hall, we want you to graduate with strong credentials. While taking a certification exam is not required, a certification will show employers that you are serious about your field. We encourage graduates of the HVAC/R program to take the EPA certification exam (Type I, II, III, and Universal). The decision to take the exam and the cost of the exam are the responsibility of the student.
Depending on your campus and your career focus, you may be eligible to take other certification exams as well, such as the OSHA 10 certification and the National Oil/Heat Research Alliance certification. Your instructors and Career Services representatives will help you determine which certifications to pursue as you near graduation. Earning a certification will give you the added advantage of entering your new job field with proven skills.
